Elphaba wrote:I don't buy it. On the very thread HE started to proclaim his innocence, Schryver-Ludd made a monumental ass of himself when he blew up and called people liars when they tried to explain to him that he was, in fact, out of line. The entire thread HE started provided the very evidence that convinced people who previously would not have believed he was capable of being "coarse" that he was actually capable of much worse. He's too pathologically narcissistic to recognize this, so I think someone with the power to force him to write his so-called apology convinced him to do so in an effort at damage control caused by HIS thread. He would never have done it on his own.

I am inclined to agree with this.

Hey Cinnamon Bear,

Did we meet online or in real life? Was it somewhere you can talk about on a public forum?

Yes, I am still crazy, and an atheist, after all these years.

At a dinner associated with LDS.net.

so to show how much a bastard william is, he claims that out of 10000 internet posts only less than a percent are unbecoming - and this small number is proof positive that he is not the ****bag he is.

Yet, Calmoriah, posts once that she thinks williams conduct is unbecoming and all the sudden Calmoriah is an anti-mormon confederate......

william you silly douche

That said, I have never posted over at that site - can authors lock their own threads? Or is he a moderator?

I think the way it works over there is that they have certain posters who they protect by either blocking anyone who is critical of them or closing threads where they are losing the debate. So it isn't that Will is moderator just that his friends who are protect him from criticism.

I'm inclined to agree HDE.

I know the few times I've been chastised by mods or board long-timers, it has been for speaking up against or inadvertently offending members of a very small group. But you know what? If those are the rules of the game, you either play by them or you leave the field. Really, what point is there in staying if you are constantly riding the pine?

I noticed this morning that Zerinus was suspended for a somewhat sarcastic response to Bill Hamblin. I felt bad for him. He and I have disagreed on many things over the last few years and for a while, he harassed me (all in good fun, I think) at every opportunity, but I didn't think his comment was "insulting" enough to warrant suspension. I thought he was making a point, as opposed to a nasty personal attacks which often pass for points on message boards, and I took his comments with that in mind.

Hopefully, he'll be posting again soon. He seems to enjoy that board as much or more than anyone else I've encountered there.

Less than .1% of my total posting history! All things considered, I think that's a pretty damn good record.
Of all the thousands of people he met over the years, Ted Bundy killed only a few dozen ... less than .1%! All things considered, Will thinks that's a pretty damn good record.

0.1% is also the odds of Will bring published this millennium...
