That is a load of baloney. He's entitled to his position and his "pet philosophies" don't put the "tax exempt status" of the church at stake. By definition, individual members, bishops and stake presidents can have their little petty opinions. I have mine. You have yours.

I don't agree with the position that one has to be a Republican to be a good member of the Church, but I did change political parties to the Republicans last year, so maybe he's right.

I'm going to email your stake president and tell him you said that.

Did I mention that my current bishop is a Democrat who is quite involved in local and state party politics. Damned heathen!

Well, that's certainly a relief. I was under the impression that you had somehow been "terribly damaged".

I have to say that your screen name conjures up some rather horrific mental images.

Your impression was certainly correct. I can no longer be a General Authority. That can't happen if you sit around every week with no calling.

He is not your Bishop, he is only a man with no authority. He lied to whomever interviewed him for Bishop. You have no obligation to sustain that wolf in shepards clothing.

And neither does bcspace, bcspace philosophy mingle with scripture is that any line of thinking on the left, puts one in direct opposition to God and the gospel. From bcspace postings one can gather that all persons whose any degree of political ideology is considered "left" or "liberal" is not in good standing with God or the Gospel.
