Not to mention that they can't seem to get their story straight.

First it's, "All Dan wanted was to prove Everybody Wang Chung was lying. He already KNEW that for certain, but he wanted proof. He wasn't going to be given any names from the directory, just a yes/no answer that he already knew was going to be 'no.'"

Now (in response to those of us who were responding to apologetic #1) it's, "Well, of course Dan had to get this information from the bishop. How else was he supposed to get Everybody Wang Chung's real name, you moron??"

If you think some anonymous nobody on a message board is doing something illegal, take your evidence to the police. If the police find merit to your claims, and they need the church's assistance in identifying someone, let them be the ones to talk to bishops and other church leaders about accessing information from their database.

The whole thing makes little sense. His explanation on Liz's board was ludicrous. I mean, I get the idea that you don't want to endure the discomfort of having someone harass you when you lead your tour, but to try to dig up his identity long after the tour is over, and nothing evidently happened during the tour?

I just don't see any excuse for that.

Well, if that's the case I certainly can identify a ****-stirring dramallama, Madame.

That's you, by the way... You know... Because you're dense.

I don't think Mr. LDSFaqs understands what Public Information means.

Right. I would have been more sympathetic had this happened prior to the tour. Almost a year after the tour? Not so much. And I'm totally not getting this whole "Dan felt threatened" angle, nor am I getting what it was that Everybody Wang Chung did that was allegedly illegal. Last I checked, troll-fu is not illegal.

Was Mr. Peterson harassed on his tour by someone?

Other than Gerald Bradford, you mean. If I recall correctly, it was during this tour that Dr. Peterson received a particularly distressing message via e-mail.
