If man could then live nearly 1000 years and lizards continue to grow their entire lifespan, I see that as one possibility. Another is that there are legends concerning dragons. The name dinosaur is a very modern term. I'm sure that they died out, etc... I see you love to make fun of the fact that there are unexplainable Chinese connections with the biblical tale of Noah. But the obvious reality is that the Chinese Emperors are a post Flood institution.
First off, first off, dinosaurs were not lizards and they didn't all die out. The dinosaurs that are still left we now call birds (recently reclassified as avian dinosaurs). Most of them, however, went extinct 65 million years ago.
There are estimated to have been over 1,000 species of dinosaurs. Many of them were quite large (really, really large). If Noah had to load them on the boat, two by two, he would have had to make room for over 2,000 of them. It must have been a very big boat. If you include the hundreds of thousands of other species that must have been needed, I'm quite sure that the largest modern aircraft carrier would not be able to hold them all (never mind all the food and fresh water required).
It's a quaint story, but not a real story.
