Why Gunnar? Does consuming alcohol invalidate a person's credibility? Does it invalidate the claimed trauma of an attempted rape?
Perhaps not, but as you agreed:
Alcohol can mess with a person's memory of the details of an experience. . .
And this is what I really meant, and it can magnify the perceived trauma of what happened, I think. It has even been known to induce hallucinations. Understand, though, that I still think that at least Dr. Ford's credibility is more credible than Kavanaugh's denial.
ETA: The other variable here is the amount of alcohol consumed. We don't know how drunk she was.
Agreed. My impression, so far, is that she was probably not nearly as incapacitated as her assaulters. That's why she was able to escape to the bathroom and lock herself in.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Maybe i am confused about the definition of credibility, so, for you, what made Ford more believable than Kavanaugh?

I'm not victim blaming. Merely acknowledging that being under the influence of alcohol can impair the accuracy of one's recollections. That she might have been urged or tricked into drinking something before the assault does not make her any less an innocent victim.

Already frequently and exhaustively explained. Please try to keep up! I'm not going to explain it to you again.

Not really, unless you are exclusively refering to alcoholic beverages. Like you, I can happily do without them for the rest of my life. Alcohol does have a lot of very valuable uses, though.

Normally I would never trust a lifetime teetotaler, but in your case, I guess I can make an exception.
Can you imagine dentistry in the early 1800's without whisky? There's a world without alcohol that would not be better.

I guess most illegal immigrants would never get caught if there were no DUI laws. Latinos seem to love there cerveza even though they lack the enzyme needed to hold their liquor.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
