Identity politics at its worst. He is demanding the destruction of our American culture because it was started by White people.

I read your interpretation of Biden's statement as a bit hyperbolic. I don't see that 'change' is necessarily synonymous with replace, given the ubiquitous examples of small changes to large systems leaving the overall system largely intact in function and/or appearance ... and given that whatever has been imported into and branded American - and 'white' culture, which no one seems to be able to define - has been undergoing change since the dawn of civilization.

But, being as that you've put it out there, then my next question would be: How does this supposed intent translate into action?

In other words, just what is it that is intended to 'replace' American culture? Or 'white' culture? What are these things, or institutions, or artifacts, or new traditions, or materials and trends - what comprises the set of Leftist stuffs that will be foisted upon all, while we simultaneously sacrifice whatever we perceive to be the icons of whiteness and America (cheeseburgers? Kraft American singles? Wal-Mart?)?

I can buy into folks on the Right interpreting the ambitions of some on the left being rooted in arguably flawed systems like socialism, but when that fear starts to spiral out of the bounds of rationality and into the realm of 'cultural replacement' (or its more-serious cousin, 'white genocide'), then I start to become a bit more skeptical about those rantings.

Nicely put.

Maybe we can now move out of the endless loop of pseudo-explanations? There are more interesting matters to discuss.

Just want to add the context that Biden was bemoaning the situation with the Thomas-Hill hearings and the part he percieves himself to have played in that:

Biden called on Americans to “change the culture” that dates back centuries and allows pervasive violence against women. “It’s an English jurisprudential culture, a white man’s culture. It’s got to change,” he said.

Sounds as if Biden wants to see (unspecified) change that moves more strength or influence to women. That would certainly be possible within the larger framework of American ‘culture’ and it’s difficult to claim that Biden is signaling a desire to throw out our entire cultural identity and replace it with something else (what I don’t know, based on that thought; perhaps the system employed on Paradise Island?).

I suppose that the same bunch of social eunuchs that are currently holed away in their parent’s basement and busily typing up negative reviews of Caprain Marvel for upsetting the traditional male power role of superheroes might be bugged by Biden’s remarks, but that doesn’t impart a lot of legitimacy to Pragerite rantings about it.
