The point is this: John could have been fined tens of thousands of dollars by the IRS and no one but John would know about it.
Do I know he's been fined? I absolutely do not. Is there a good chance he was fined? Every IRS lawyer I talked to said my complaint would absolutely lead to an IRS audit and they wouldn't be surprised at a modest fine levied at both John and Open Stories Foundation.
But again, we will never know.

This is actually the exact logic folks use to discredit the church. If the Book of Mormon is made up, then Joseph Smith is full of it and Mormonism is a fraud.

I have no problem with John Dehlin or church leaders making money off their organizations. Bases off the good John Dehlin does, I think he deserves more. I can’t say the same about the church leaders.

The numbers are further concerning when consideration is taken for the fact that the “Religion-related and spiritual development category” of which the Open Stories Foundation classifies itself, has the lowest median CEO compensation of all non-profit program areas.
Open Stories Foundation should release their executive compensation justification.
Dehlin did not make much for a lot of years. Dehlin was clear when pursuing his degree that he would continue doing MS podcasts if he could get enough in donations to support his family, obtain health insurance, etc. He did not demand it then And if someone had an issue they could choose not to donate. As for his current comp well if he was examined by IRS or by the attorney general it seems they did not have an issue. Nor apparently do those who continue to donate. He files a Form 990 every year. All activity including his comp is disclosed. If there is something out if line then IRS can revoke his the foundation's tax exempt status. As for your demand that the foundation should release their justification of his comp well why? Because you want them to? I do not think there is a legal requirement for this. So this is just your peeve and you are pissed and appear to have a vendetta. For your sake I hope this really is just a small part of your life. Obsessing over this seems strange. Move on dude.
