Many Catholics find it more than a little disrespectful to refer to Pope Benedict as Joseph Ratzinger. And I'm sure they might not think too highly of the Pope's service to the Lord characterized as a mere attempt.DCP wrote:"And, I firmly believe, Joseph Ratzinger has now entered into a new life after decades of attempting to serve God in the best way he could."
I find this very interesting coming from a Mormon who is in line with Rusty Nelson's agenda to forcefully strike the word Mormon from the tongues of every man, woman, and child on Earth.
Chubby Steve tries to get DCP to understand this, but with DCP it's like trying to squeeze blood out of a turnip.
Which infuriates the Midge.CS wrote:I think most Catholics who are familiar with Mormonism would agree that President Nelson has also spent decades attempting to serve God in the best way he could.
Midge wrote:Chubby: President Nelson has made it clear, has he not, that we should all shed the absurd idea of our being involved in something wrongly imagined as "Mormonism." Instead, we should grasp the fact that we should be seeking to be sanctified Latter-day Saints as members of the Church of Jesus Christ. We should shed the idea we are merely involved in a motley "ism."
