There may be those that are uncomfortable with the changing social dynamics that they see as diminishing their position of unearned privilege and comfort. There are positions of disagreement with this social shift that lead some folks to seek out conservatively vestigial social organizations, clinging onto what the church teaches in respect to what it considers to be other sinful behaviors and/or practices that people chose to maintain define the social changes for validation.
Rather than engaging in self-reflection and personal growth, they embed deeper in the church that tells them what others call bigotry is virtuous because "creator god", trying to ‘cover up their biases and bigotry’ since folks like this find it easier to crawl in a hole with other like-minded folks than consider their position is not particularly grounded in ethics.
When we live in a society and don’t fit in with the norms, we look for ways to either fit in or we look for other options.
I just want it noted that Mormon men ****ing kids, and being systemically aided and abetted by the Mormon church isn’t a good enough reason to leave the Mormon church according to MG.
Add that database to the one we posted by the law firm suing the cult with regard to the Scouts, and, well, there you go. The Mormons cover for Mormons who **** kids. And that’s not enough for MG to grow a conscience and leave that evil.

Donald Trump doesn’t know who is third in line for the Presidency.
I have absolutely no idea what any of you are talking about.
EDIT:
I figured out that someone had changed MG 2.0's rank and I fixed it.
You've figured it out and made the necessary fix. You've corrected the error. As the Founder and Visionary of Discuss Mormonism and an active mod, it seems it's entirely appropriate that you determine who made the change, why they made the change, and account for that action in a public confession.
Then we can all move on and the mystery will have been solved.

And Markk is now ranked as a "Regional Representative," the only one on the board at that rank. Not sure if that's any different from "Charlatan," but technically I suppose it is.
I don’t come around much anymore and I’m not sure how long now I’ve been referred to as “charlatan” in the board’s caste system, but I do find it rather infantile behavior to call out any one board member in such a pejorative manner.
I’m not now nor ever have been a fraud.
No wonder other active members of the church don’t show up here.
And this is why I make my visits infrequently these days.
It’s a wonderful thing in a caste system such as this to now be in the upper caste/crust instead of the lower echelons. I wouldn’t wish being a Charlatan on anyone.

MG
If the tables were turned and any one of you were on a board with predominantly active and believing LDS folks and you were forced into a caste system where YOU were cast as a Charlatan how would that make you feel? Especially if you KNEW that you weren’t?
I’ve registered a complaint with the moderators, but I don’t expect any change/action. I will be pleasantly surprised if something positive happens.
Who would have thought that in an enlightened place such as this that such shenanigans would take place?
No surprise that active and believing members of the church feel uncomfortable showing themselves around here. Fortunately, I have a tough hide.
Regards,
MG
I’m back to being a God! I’m a real boy!
Whichever moderator made the change, thanks.
Whichever moderator and/or board member threw me in the lower caste by giving me the “Charlatan” label, shame on you.
