Here's a serious question for MG. MG was born in the Church, has spent his whole life in the Church, and hasn't indicated he's seriously pursued any ideas outside of SLC's safety. What makes MG think that had he been born in 1800s in a mainstream church in a geographical area where most people were members of that church, that he'd give Mormonism 5 serious minutes of his time and consideration?
I literally just started The Age of Em by Robin Hanson and this is on Page 1:

“Everyone with out exception believes his own native customs, and the religion he was brought up in, to be the best.” - Herodotus, 440BC

Somehow I believe if MG were born in Chandigarh, Punjab he’d be really keen on Sikhism (or Hinduism if he were in the minority for the area), and he would wax on and on and on about Guru Nanak while refusing to cut his hair. Nothing, absolutely nothing would cause him to consider Mormonism if he were a devout Sikh, and that reality will move the needle for him exactly 0% with regard to the obvious fraud that is Mormonism.
