Do we know which voice eventually got raised if any?
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

Yeah… Why raise a voice? Why not raise an objection? Or some money? Or a crop of beans? If you harvest enough beans, you might even be able to make a small mountain out of them—a “hill,” as it were….

Interpreter Board members witnessing Dr. Peterson's countenance turn to that of Joseph Smith would be a compelling reason to give back control of the Maxwell Institute.

What a coincidence, the trailer just released:

https://youtu.be/8JcNJzfDtyY
Oh man! This trailer is glorious! I am counting the days until the premiere.

Aside from the awful acting, here are just a few quick observations:

-- at the 10 second mark, you can clearly see the anachronistic asphalt shingles and anachronistic rain gutter
-- at the 46 second mark, you can clearly see the anachronistic exhaust trail of a jet airplane in the sky
-- at the 57 second mark, the 1:29 minute mark, the 1:34 minute mark and several other places, you can clearly see the anachronistic manicured, mowed, fertilized and watered lawn
-- at the 1:06 minute mark, the guy is wearing an anachronistic plaid Newsboy cap, which wasn't manufactured until 1910
-- at the 1:30 minute mark, you can clearly see the anachronistic truck tire marks on the dirt road
-- at the 1:55 minute mark, a woman is clearly wearing anachronistic modern eyeglasses

BUT THE BIGGEST and most HILARIOUS anachronism in the trailer is a subversive subliminal message. Please PM me for the timestamp. I really don't want to draw Afore's attention to this message because he will have it removed asap.

Based on this hilarious message inserted into the film, there are definitely subversive elements working behind the scenes. Six Days In August is leaking like a sieve.

ETA to change: "at the 46 (instead of 37) second mark, you can clearly see the anachronistic exhaust trail of a jet airplane in the sky"

And regarding the criticisms of Six Days in August from those zealous and obsessed critics of the gospel, it's nice of them to remind me that they are not to be trusted even if they say the sky is blue.

They were gleefully pointing out "anachronisms" that were so amateurishly missed in the trailer. And they helpfully gave timestamps so that anyone could check it out to see how full of crap they are. Among the things I learned is that they apparently didn't know glasses existed in the 1800s, they didn't know wagons existed in the 1800s and make wheel tracks on roads, and they've never seen con-trails or clouds in their lives. Other "anachronisms" mentioned evaded my view no matter how hard I squinted
It warms my heart that SeN commenters have discovered the board DCP is so obsessed with, in spite of his obfuscation.

The SeN group will bear their testimony that truck tire tracks and modern glasses existed in early Nauvoo. Jet trails in the sky as well.

What's with the name Afore? Where does it come from?

Are you suggesting Afore (think of this nomenclature as similar to Desein in its unique application) take up a seven volume project that deals with the natural theology of light and springing forth?

A recent exchange between JA and the Proprietor (DP) on SeN about the film (I am not making this up]:
JA: "Did the film confront the uncomfortable fact that one of the reasons Joseph ordered the destruction of the Expositor was to hide his practice of polygamy?"

DP: You can ask me such questions, JA. Unlike DRDP, I've seen it several times, including its most recent iteration, and no theft of intellectual property was involved in my having done so.

The film alludes to plural marriage but does not explicitly connect it with the Nauvoo Council's ordered destruction of the "Expositor."
JA: "Why was the decision made to not explicitly connect Joseph’s polygamy with the destruction of the Expositor?"

DP: No such decision was made. As it is, I think that there is an implicit connection.

JA: "Does the film show Joseph firing a gun at the mob once they stormed jail?"

DP: No. But the martyrdom at Carthage Jail is shown only rather briefly. It's important, but it's far from the focus of the story.

JA: "Does the film show, via CGI, the transformation of Brigham’ Young or is it just implied?"

DP: We're still playing with how we'll handle that. Come and see the film! (Please buy a legitimate ticket.)
Who wrote the script? How do you avoid connecting plural marriage with the destruction of the Expositor? How do you avoid showing Joseph Smith using a gun in Carthage? Is the Proprietor joking?

In any case, I cannot wait for October.

Did Witnesses end with the death of Smith, or sometime before that? How much ground is August retreading?

Indeed, Tom. It’s hard to describe this as anything other than “whitewashing.” Yet again, it would seem that the intel I received was correct. I’m sure that the Executive Producer is furious that someone on the crew would leak this kind of information. I also saw the allegations about a pirated copy of the film having been passed around. I certainly don’t condone that behavior. That said, how is it that people so close in the Proprietor’s orbit dislike him so much that they’d do such a thing?
