Marxism is mostly a scare word for MAGA and the Republicans who preceded the MAGA Party. It is MAGA that is embracing the state ownership of the means of production. See Trump's move to have the government own 10% of Intel. So, the continued use of the word to prejudice people against others is pretty silly. MAGA is the nationalist, socialist party.
MAGA - genuine question, what does the A refer to?

Yeah, just saying "communist" or "Marxist" terrifies the morons who have no idea what those words mean, because someone once convinced them they were bad. So it gets applies to anything and everything the morons think they're against (when in reality, they have no idea because they have no cohesive ideology. They drift in the direction the wind blows Trump's farts).Kishkumen wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:46 pmMarxism is mostly a scare word for MAGA and the Republicans who preceded the MAGA Party. Tajfel, the father of Social Identity Theory, discovered that, when given the choice to distribute $5 to everyone or $4 to people in their group and $3 to people outside their group, most people would choose the second option. Think of it: instead of giving everyone MORE, they sacrificed that more they could have had to make sure someone else had even less than they would get. That is the kind of bonkers we are talking about here. MAGA is being happy for more people to have a lot less in order to create a steeper hierarchy in which they imagine they are at least better off than the perceived "enemies" of MAGA.Some Schmo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:51 pmYeah, just saying "communist" or "Marxist" terrifies the morons who have no idea what those words mean, because someone once convinced them they were bad. This is a reasonable explanation. I've been wondering for years why these people want to burn their house down to fix some faulty drywall and a few leaky pipes.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 1:57 pmTajfel, the father of Social Identity Theory, discovered that, when given the choice to distribute $5 to everyone or $4 to people in their group and $3 to people outside their group, most people would choose the second option. I mean, obviously, racism from people who insist they aren't racist.

Kishkumen, I truly find myself wanting to extend the benefit of the doubt, believing in your intelligence, especially knowing your position as a professor. However, it seems that you, Marcus the Carcass, and Gadianton are among the most is idiotic individuals this board has ever seen.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 12:38 pmBefore the Civil Rights Era. Back when there was segregation.honorentheos wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 12:35 pmIts usually implied it was the post-WW2 period before the culture wars of the 1960s.
It is important to recognize that in the southern states during the era of Jim Crow laws, which were designed to uphold racial segregation and undermine black civil rights, it was the Democratic Party that implemented policies such as "whites only" signs, prohibited interracial marriage, and enforced separate facilities, including hospital wings and phone booths. The Democratic Party of the South was deeply rooted in white supremacy, earning the label "Solid South." The KKK, which was associated with the Democrat party, was also designated as a domestic terrorist group, similar to how Trump classified antifa. Both groups are creations of the Democrat party, designed by democrats to instill fear in law-abiding Americans.
The goal of MAGA is to counter the Marxist progressive movement found within the Democrat party by informing individuals that progressivism is merely another iteration of racism and Marxist ideology, aiming to subjugate Americans through authoritarian principles, akin to the slave-holding Democrats of the 1800s and the Democrats of the 1900s who instituted Jim Crow laws.
As a professor, to claim that MAGA, a faction of the Republican party, historically known as the anti-slavery party, wants to revert to an era when Jim Crow southern Democrats viewed black individuals as inferior based on their skin color, highlights just how stupid the professors in our educational system truly are. You truly embody the essence of an absolute fxxxing xxiot!
MAGA is part of the Anti Slavery party!! Prove me wrong, "professor"!!

I won't comment on myself, but anyone who thinks Gadianton is idiotic has given us all the information about their intelligence we need. And that information is not flattering.Hound of Heaven wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 3:40 pmKishkumen, I truly find myself wanting to extend the benefit of the doubt, believing in your intelligence, especially knowing your position as a professor. Re: MAGA - genuine question, what does the A refer to?
I would suppose Maga means renewing the intention to make America great , the renewal would be now. That is broad enough to be joined by people who thought 1955 was great and by people not much inclined that way. It could include racists and people who are not.
I think the accusation of racism is much overused. It convinces nobody and puts off a lot of people. It is used in ways that are vague ,not as vague as calling people Marxists but creates more anger than understanding in the same way as that accusation does.

Re: MAGA - genuine question, what does the A refer to?
That was the OP - my bold.I Have Questions wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 7:25 amMake America Great Again was first used as a slogan by Ronald Reagan in the 80’s, Bill Clinton in the 90’s, Trump in 2010’s and again in the 2020’s.
So my question is really for those who rally behind MAGA (or “Magadonians” as Trump calls his fans). What period in the history of America does the “Again” refer to?
So far as I can see, up to now nobody has seriously attempted tell us when American possessed the alleged greatness that MAGA people wish to see restored. Can't somebody tell us?
