Moving this forward. Please reply, canpakes.
Jersey, thanks again for your interest in this. Apparently, there is not an understanding of what "an example" is. You may wish to follow up on that.
Really. Do you think I can read? Do you think I need direction from you? You thank me for my interest then proceed to insult the crap out of me with your "suggestion". Freaking stop it.

As I recall, I was having a bit of oh I dunno discussion with a moderator. You interrupted it at least twice by my count. Yes, of course you're allowed to comment. My time is limited here. What you're doing in my case is wasting time I don't have with advice I don't need.

I got a nice little thread going down yonder that I really want to get back to so I'll try my best to make quick work of this right here.

Whiskey has been a bit light on accuracy, Jersey Girl. I’m going to run an errand with the littles and then I’ll respond later. : )

Go for it. You do that. If you are factual and accurate, it will be a first. Looking forward to it.

cp,

So what I think you're saying is that that particular post was somehow factored into a suspension/temp ban ruling when indeed by your description, cp, it was actually a non-factor by virtue of the fact that it went unreported by other posters and also stood without objection by the recipient (yours truly) who chose to engage it but was factored in anyway because...I have no blessed clue why.

I know where Whiskey began to repeat himself. I've been following the thread the whole entire time though I didn't read every one of his posts until I saw the ban announcement here which I why I asked about the rule violation.

What I did see from with the first post Whiskey made when he entered thread was Morely personally attacking him. He was personally attacked more than once If I recall correctly and long before he began repeating himself. Hound was also personally attacked. These presumably non reported offenses were all left to stand.

And yet the “F” every poster that Whiskey made to me was considered in the suspension/temp ban ruling.

Bear with me here I'm going some place and choosing to do it in full public view.

What the interaction between yourself and Whiskey looked like to me was non-stop call and response, back and forth, repeated either--insulting, baiting, egging on whatever you'd like to call it, try a two-person shitnado situation.

Suddenly BOOM he's jettisoned for 2 weeks via your own announcement, cp.

The original thread was split out mainly because it went off topic on account of the two-person shitnado you guys were whipping up. And yet, the personal attacks against Whiskey and Hound have been left to remain.

If Whiskey is racking up offenses presumably without report will those be relocated to Prison?

You're not going to like this, cp but this right here: Suddenly BOOM he's jettisoned for 2 weeks via your own announcement, cp. to a witness to the interaction gives the appearance of personal bias on the part of a moderator.

As a moderator I maintained a personal policy of never taking mod action on a thread in which I was a participant. Never did it. Not once, not ever. Why? To avoid the appearance of personal bias. Mull that over and see if it's something you guys might want to consider developing within the team.

Back to Whiskey. BOOM he's jettisoned and BOOM just as quickly he's back. The thread is split and all is right with the world.

Was there a reason the thread wasn't split in the first place?

You aren't obligated to answer that.

This is 100% pure common sense, and I basically said the same thing yesterday in the moderator thread. Thank you Jersey Girl! It just makes sense, if any of the moderators are going toe to toe with a board member in a thread and it gets a little heated, they should allow another moderator to step in for disciplinary action. Canpakes is just as guilty of breaking the rules in this thread as Whiskey.

Nah. I did not break any rules. And there were no reports made about my posts, except the reports made by panny.

Panny banned me for spamming — while he was spamming and baiting and derailing the thread. Then he said the ban was made for the post I made with the question to Jersey Girl. Notice, panny quoted that question, and left it in this thread. It is still there. Only after the fact he said he banned me for the same post that he reposted and left here in Paradise. panny also said he banned me for editing his post or adding emojis to his quote, right? Well, as usual, in this thread, he changed one of my quotes but ALSO said that the post that he changed, and reposted, was the reason for the ban. Then while i was banned, he edited another of my posts to make it a misquote, and suggested that the misquote was further justification for my ban.

It is all absurd. He has no business moderating at all but he DAMN sure should not moderate ANY thread in which he also posts. The difference is, a smart and ethical moderator would choose not to moderate a thread in which they were participating. He should not have to be asked not to, he should, if he had a working brain and common sense, choose to NOT moderate his active threads.

I missed this one, Jersey Girl.

As examples, check out the split version of the thread, linked below:

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=160687

The first 4 pages of posts were removed from this main thread:
  • The first page is mostly posts moved in one group.
  • The next three pages are posts moved individually out of the main thread.
After the initial move of almost a dozen posts or so, the rest were added as they occurred. I was content to play along with Binger because it was generally a harmless exchange but most of my replies do not require or invite a response. Binger continued to add Old Testament responses to the main thread and I kept moving them out and would respond in the split thread. Binger would then add another response back into the main thread. Nothing I said was less "spam" than your dumbass comments. The only difference - you are a moderator so you jacked up the thread, blamed someone else, then banned me for responding to your comments politely.

Back in this main thread, Binger decided to move on around page 8. On page 10 the ‘are you talking about me?’ statements start, including posting to one of my responses to Molok. Rather than repeat removing another 40 posts or having to navigate this same response to every other post, I mentioned the time out.
panny, you are so goddamn dishonest. I may someday arrive at the point of pity or empathy, but today, nah. I just think you are damned stupid.

You forgot this part you dishonest twat:

The report feature can be used in all threads.

You can’t use it to report being rejected for being a Trump voter when asking someone for a date, though.
See that part, panny? See that? The part where you make a comment, again, about me? See that? Well, you failed to acknowledge that your comment was obviously allowed in Paradise and my responses were moved to prison. No matter how polite my response was - yours stayed, mine got moderated as part of the trap.
I moved our comments out of the thread into our own split.

But you kept trying to respond to that thread by adding your comments into the original thread.

‘Politely’ or not, you kept spamming the main thread.

As for your last sentence, it looks like you’re trying to pull a fast one on Jersey Girl. Here’s the post you added, along with the next one … which is from you:

…..…Image

You have a response right there, in the main thread, right after mine … which doesn’t quite jive with what you’re saying here.
So panny, just grow the “F” up. If you want to troll, troll. If you want to moderate, moderate. But ferfucksakes, get honest for once. Just once.
It would seem that the person with the ‘honesty’ issue is the fellow that you see in your mirror.
