I think it would be interesting to hear where others might come from as they consider this truth. First of all, are we willing to accept...if there is a creator God...that He would "write straight with crooked lines?" It would be interesting, just like in hopscotch, whether we can actually get to square one, or the first jump.
Well, let's be clear and let's be honest, shall we? The Creator God in whom you wish to believe never at any time declared there was a king's name written in the hieroglyphic writing between the |lines|of Facsimile No. 3. Nor is the name Shulem found within those |lines|.
While playing this hopscotch game while commenting on whether God can write straight with crooked lines...
The works, and the designs, and the purposes of God cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught.
For God doth not walk in crooked paths, neither doth he turn to the right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said:
A Selection from the Revelations, Translations, and Narrations of Joseph Smith First Prophet... wrote:
Fig. 2. King Pharaoh, whose name is given in the characters above his head.
Fig. 4. Prince of Pharaoh, King of Egypt, as written above the hand.
Fig. 5. Shulem, one of the king’s principal waiters, as represented by the characters above his hand.
Seriously, I'd like to sit back and watch the game from off to the side from different perspectives as I move around the hopscotch grid. Or is it a grid? Sort of, kind of?
Mental gymnastics and game playing. Trolling for this and trolling for that.
What's the king's name, MG?
There is no reason to leave the grid contained in Facsimile No. 3.
So, what are some of your thoughts? Hypothetically speaking, if there is a creator God, can/does He write straight with crooked lines?
By the way, this question can be used in conjunction with so many questions and issues that are brought up ad nauseum in regard to Mormonism, the apostasy, blacks and priesthood, current cultural battles, etc.
How about Facsimile No. 3? No. 1? No. 2? Chapter 1?
Does the adage you ripped from a nun solve the problem with Smith's crooked Book of Abraham translations? I see absolutely nothing straight about what Smith claimed came from God, written by Abraham's nonexistent hand.
It's all lies. There is nothing honorable or straight about any of that crap. Isn't that right MG?
